Traditional uses
Emerging uses / trends
- Wall surfacing panels
Finish and aesthetic qualities
- The surface is dense cement, flexible and extremely hard and produces incredible detail.
- The feel of the panel surface is ceramic-like and rock hard.
Surface forms / shapes
- These modular panels surfaces are created by relief carving and molding in repetitious patterns.
- Twenty different patterns are available.

Dimensional and opening restriction
- Dimensions, length and width: +/- 1/16 inch.
- Thickness: +/- 1/16 inch.
- Weight: +/- 0.5 lb
- Panel dimensions: 32 x 32 x 1 inch maximum
Manufacturing process and assembly
- These panels are cut and handled similar to that of a wood product through the use of standard woodworking tools.
- Mount-points are precast into the panels or may be added on any part of the surface with a countersink drill bit.
- The panels may be attached to a sundry of walls and support materials
- The steel-reinforced joints interlock resulting in precise panel alignment and exceptional joint stability.
- Seams blend and individual panels become an uninterrupted wall surface via the gluing together of panels and the application of a flexible filler.
- The panels must be installed over existing drywall, in new construction, where fire walls are required by local code as they are not intended to be a substitute for drywall code requirements.
Environmental impact
Modular Arts Sculptural Panels are composed entirely of nontoxic mineral and are not subject to off-gassing. They have no accelerators, release agents, or retardants. The panels are non-combustable and formaldehyde free. The panels may be completely recycled at the end of their useful life. The manufacturer employs a system that entirely eliminates production waste water, recycling it for reuse in their manufacturing process.

Life Safety & Rating Standards
Flammability rating
- These panels do not burn because they are made entirely of mineral
- Flame Spread Index: ASTM E84 0
- Smoke Development Index: ASTM E84 0
Coefficient of friction
- According to [1] the coefficient of friction for dry concrete, a similar material to the mineral composite panels, is 0 for Static applications and 0.6 - 0.85 for Sliding applications.
