Building analysis
Nylo hotels is a boutique hotel chain. They focus on creating hip, urban, budget friendly hotels in suburban places. This hotel in particular is called Nylo Interlocken and is located in the middle of the Denver/Boulder high-tech cooridor. The interior has an urban, loft style environment with exposed brick, concrete walls and high ceilings. STUDIOS also mixed in some natural materials to make the environment a little more warm and inviting and to reflect the surrounding Colorado outdoors.
Detail analysis
STUDIOS idea for the lounge was to create something flexible. They wanted a space that can transition from "business power breakfast" to "trendy nightclub."
The bar in the space does this through the different materials used in the design. The shape of the bar is curvy which is a form many patrons will find very inviting. It has a warm feel because of the wood veneer and 3form LED lighting. However, there is still an urban chic vibe with the modern layers and crisp lines that will play into the nightclub concept.
